Once a week... ain't enough..
Feb. 3rd, 2005 11:41 pmWhile I could easily mean sex here, I actually mean gaming. And more specifically, running a game.
Each week I have been running anywhere from 2 to 4 games since early holidays started. With my new schedule, I never run more than twice and every other week its just once.
I know a lot of gamers (some of you guys too) would kill for a weekly table-top RPG. What can I say, I am spoiled I guess. But when you get what you want and need for this long, you are most certainly used to it. And since I can't fill the off nights without games with hairy, humpin' bear-love - I don't think once a week is gonna cut it.
Of course then the problem becomes, what to do about it?
The easy answer is pick ups. But pick up games either tend to be messy or awkward (think anonymous sex when its not so fun) or these tragic "campaigns"
that might have been. Either way the situation gets frustrating, and to make it worse, the schedules are even less consistent with my friends, making a "new" regular gaming night impossible to difficult, without getting new gamers too.
I could do that, but I like my friends enough to stay in Utah indefinitely, so I want to hang out with them as much as I can. So its catch 22.
Anyway, I am feeling really good right now, but I worry that after three early mornings in a row, I am gonna feel like ass by Sunday night, we shall see...
